The dates and the programme
The inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games opened in Beijing on 14 August 2025. Competition days ran from 15 to 17 August at the National Speed Skating Oval. The city notice listed 280 teams, more than 500 robots and 26 events. [1]
Running, jumping, relay races and football shared the programme with factory material handling and hospital drug sorting. Dance and martial arts were also included. Those tasks ask different questions about the machine. [1]
Selected task results
A Beijing E-Town closing report identifies results from several kinds of task. The selection below is not a complete medal table. [2]
| Task | Robot or entry | Reported placement |
|---|---|---|
| 1,500 metres | Tiangong Ultra | Second |
| Material sorting | Tianyi 2.0 entries | First and second |
| Factory material handling | Tianyi 2.0 entries | Second and third |
| Drug unpacking and sorting | A team using GALAXEA hardware | Second |
The report does not provide a complete set of division labels, attempt counts or success rates. These placements should not be combined into an overall robot ranking. [2]
What the report says about control
The district report describes Tiangong Ultra's Games running as fully autonomous, following ultra-wideband navigation in the earlier half marathon. This is the report's control description; an independent control log was not available. [2]
