The Pittsburgh dates
IROS 2026 took place from 27 September to 1 October at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. IEEE's event listing marks the conference as completed. The organizers' welcome described a program covering perception, learning, control and interaction between people and robots, alongside workshops, tutorials and competitions. [1] [2]

Keep publication and presentation dates separate
A presentation at IROS can follow an earlier journal publication. The Robotics Society of Japan lists a route for qualifying open-access regular papers in Advanced Robotics. For IROS 2026, the paper had to be published and recognized as paid open access between 1 May 2025 and 30 April 2026. This is one reason to check the original publication record before calling a method newly published. Keep workshop contributions and exhibition appearances identified by their own category. [5] [6]
Building a paper record
For an individual paper, keep its title, authors, manuscript URL, publication date and programme entry together. A public author manuscript can be read without access to the attendee app. The paper-reading guide linked below explains how to extract the experiment and trial count.
